Is srm chennai better than uptu colleges? especially in civil eng..?

i have got a below avg rank in upsee( uttar pradesh state entrance examination). and i also got qualified for SRM. Just wanted to know that from where shud i go for civil, srm is a bit costly than uptu colleges. along with the famous main campus there are two other campuses ramapuram and vadapalani. i dont know about them. if i get a seat there shud i got for it? and plz tell hows civil in srm as compared to civil in uptu.
