To add to CanadianBlondie's answer, you should file in order to get back any tax withheld and CPP/EI overcontribution from your old paycheques. You can see if there were any withholdings from the T4 slips that your employers sent you at the end of the year. Plus, you should file just to have the year statute-barred in the future. This means that they can't come back to revise your taxes 3 years after you filed (unless there is gross negligence or fraud involved).
