Couple of internet questions about a mac?

A buddy of mine gave his old i mac G4 to fix .. #1: the comp keeps locking up every time you try to open the safari browser #2: he wants to know if theres any way to install mozilla firefox and #3 is there anyway he can go online with dialup?
